Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe/Cabriolet available by mid-year

 Mercedes-Benz E 350 Cabriolet Mercedes-Benz introduced the revised its E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet versions that incorporate BlueDIRECT four-cylinder engines with updated technology and assistance systems at the start of the year.

Desirable amongst the mid- to upper-class, the E-Class Coupe and 4-seater Cabriolet (open-top) feature a refreshed exterior design and pertinent interior upgrades. The main highlights at the front comprises new single light lens over all functional elements such as, twin-headlight and anti-dazzle LED or the optional full LED. The E-Class Cabriolet’s V-shaped front bumpers with large air intakes and retractable side windows with a continuous shoulder line reinforce the car’s dynamic sentiment. At the same time, the Coupe’s long bonnet, elongated side line, flat roof line and upbeat rear-end pull it up another notch. At the rear, the Cabriolet version takes up a more defined rear wing, new rear lights and wide-effect rear bumper with “wing design” and chrome trims, with intentions to increase that overall dynamism outlook.

Inside the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet, there are a host of refined materials that dominate alongside clean-cut surfaces and the two-part trim which stretches across the entire dashboard. Available in either wood or aluminium look, the interior is characterized by the redesigned center console without selector lever, as well as a three-spoke multifunction steering with DIRECT SELECT lever and shift paddles in conjunction with automatic transmission. Additionally, the Cabriolet version with its acoustic high-grade insulation soft top is said to offer lowest cabin noise in its class.

There are six BlueDIRECT four-cylinder petrol, also in V6 and V8s, and three diesel engines under the hoods of the Coupe and Cabriolet versions. The petrol powerplants’ outputs range from 184 hp to 408 hp, while the diesel versions range between 170 hp to 265 hp. Both powerplants are mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or the 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission with PLUS M, DIRECT SELECT lever and DIRECT SELECT shift paddles.

Technology and trend-setting assistance systems, which come under the heading “Intelligent drive”, are prevalent in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet. One of the major inputs is a Stereo Multi-Purpose camera in the vicinity of the rear-view mirror that provides a three-dimensional view up to around 50 metres in front of the vehicle. Apart from that, there are numerous assistance systems instill in the cars which include, DISTRONIC PLUS, BAS PLUS with Junction Assist, RE-SAFE Brake and PLUs, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist PLUS, Active Parking Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, and a 360-degree angled camera.

The new E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet will arrive at Mercedes-Benz dealerships from June at starting prices of 42,661.50 euros for the Coupé and 47,600 euros for the Cabriolet.
