Aside from the Cross Climate and PS4, Michelin also exhibits a new generation of saloon and sports car tyres. Main highlight of the performance sports range is the Pilot Sport 4, which is set to replace the current range from early next year. The PS4, standard on the Mercedes AMG S-Class, comprises of the brand’s Acoustic technology.
Since May 2015, the Michelin Cross Climate has been available on European markets. It is the first summer tyre to obtain winter certification. In just four months, the tyre has enjoyed great success among distributors and by the end of 2015 sales targets are likely to be exceeded by over 30%. In addition, the tyre’s unprecedented performance has been acclaimed by car manufacturers, who have shown great interest in the homologation of this tyre as original equipment on the European market. Finally, by providing both mobility and a safety solution whatever the weather conditions, Michelin Cross Climate meets the needs of fleet managers.
The Cross Climate tyre, available for 15- to 17-inch wheel sizes (23), comprises of three aspects that made it suitable in both Summer and Winter. The traits include innovative tread compound, V-Shaped tread pattern and the patented Evergrip technology.
In addition to the new shods, Michelin is exhibiting works by its Design Studio on concept car tyres via the Concept Tyres Book and a specially-liveried Bugatti Vision GT. The book displays complex design works on the part of the French tyre makers and the tyre technologies behind Michelin shods.
