Motor Image unveils Refreshed Subaru XV

 Subaru XV (7) Motor Image Malaysia, distributors of Subaru vehicles. has just launched the refreshed Subaru XV Crossover SUV, which offers improved aesthetics, enhanced features and an optimized powertrain.

The 2016 Subaru XV is available in two versions 2.0i and 2.0i-Premium, priced at RM121,000 and RM125,000 respectively (w/out GST, insurance and road tax). Customers will a choice of six colors: Pure White, Ice Silver Metallic, Desert Khaki, Tangerine Orange Pearl, Dark Grey Metallic and Obsidian Black Pearl.

Drivers are increasingly seeking vehicles that are tech-savvy, safe, efficient yet versatile and stylish enough to complement their active lifestyles, which is driving a surge in the trend towards compact Crossover SUVs globally.

Subaru is confident that with its refined exterior and interior, extra equipment, responsive and spirited performance, combined with the company’s build quality and design, the new XV is honed to ensure drivers with optimum result and value-for-money satisfaction.

On the outside, the new XV features Subaru’s hexagon grille and C-shaped headlights, coupled with sharper contour lines running along the front bumper, foglights and rearlights. New rear combination lights and 17-inch sport wheels complete the XV’s sportier and sleeker exterior.

Interior has been enhanced with a premium cluster display to greet the driver upon entering the car, alongside quality leather wrapping around the seats and leather shift boot. The interior accentuate finesse in the smallest parts such as the orange stitchings and a redesigned steering.

In addition, technologies such as a premium grade multi-function display, push start and smart entry, aluminium pedals and electric starter seat are included for maximized utility and an exhilarating driving experience. To improve the XV’s handling responses Subaru engineers have made further adjustments to the chassis, making the new crossover a little more nimble than its predecessor.

The engineers have also made further enhancements to reduce wind and road noise (NVH). The seal, between the front and rear window glass, weather strip, has been improved while an insulator has been added on inside the A and D pillars, the rear wheel arches and the roof.

Under the hood, the 2016 Subaru XV is powered by the marque’s renowned 2.0-liter four-cylinder Horizontally-Opposed Boxer engine that offers a responsive drive coupled with exemplary fuel economy. Producing 150PS of horsepower and 196Nm of torque, the upgraded Subaru XV is able to achieve a fuel consumption of 7.9-liter/100km. Furthermore, the combination of Subaru’s All-Wheel-Drive system and low center of gravity provide the Crossover with a better handling on any roads or terrains.

Since its debut, the Subaru XV has also won 5-star recognition in the various global automotive safety tests such as; Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP), Euro NCAP, Australia NCAP and ASEAN NCAP, Top Safety Pick for Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in the USA.
