Nasim previews Peugeot 308 Active

2015 Peugeot 308 Active Domestic Peugeot cars distributors, Nasim today previewed the locally-assembled Peugeot 308 Active, which is immediately available for bookings at Peugeot dealerships across the country. The Peugeot 308 Active inherits most of the refinements and capabilities of the current 308 THP variant and is offered at a significantly lower price tag.

The new Peugeot 308 Active takes up several updated elements on the exterior and interior, rather noticeably when compared to the current Peugeot 308 THP; which was unveiled in May. Most prominently additions on the Peugeot 308 Active are the Projector headlights with levelling, flashy DRLs (daytime running lights) on the front bumpers and 17-inch wheels. The Peugeot 308 THP, on the other hand, has full LED headlights, embedded with DRLs, and 18-inch wheels.

On the interior, the Peugeot 308 Active, like the THP version, comes with the 9.7-inch touchscreen display, Arkamys sound system with 6 speakers, electronic parking brake, premium metax fabric seats, sports leather steering with switches and dual-zone a/c. Obviously, the 308 THP has several items more than the Active version.

Both the THP and Active are powered by the same dependable 1.6 THP powerplant, that’s paired to an efficient six-speed automatic transmission with Quick Shift. The powertrain enables an output of 152 PS and 240 Nm of torque from 1450 rpm. Fuel efficiency and emissions ratings of the Active version are most likely spot on to the 308 THP at 6.5l/100km and 150g/km, respectively.

Safety feature and technologies are not compromised for the 308 Active, although the listed price has been reduced by an impressive margin. Six airbags with Intelligent traction control and ESP are primary equipment to ensure a thoroughly safe and secure ride on the Peugeot 308 Active. The two primary equipment work in tandem with the hill start assist, cruise control and responsive vehicle indicators to effectively provide the driver with vital information on the road. Nasim has decided to omit the drivers’ assistance pack (dynamic cruise control, emergency collisiom alert and emergency collision braking) in order to make the award-winning, recently dubbed “NST-Maybank Car of the Year in family car category” 308 more cost competitive in the C-segment.

Available in five color options, the Peugeot 308 Active is offered in Pearl White, Rouge Red, Mocha Brown, Artense Grey and Nera Black. The price is set for an estimated RM 120,888, which is approximately RM12,000 lower than the 308 THP.
