Naza Italia, distributors of Maserati in the country, has announced the updated Maserati Quattroporte for the domestic luxury performance market.
In overall exterior impression, the 2017 Maserati Quattroporte is instantly recognizable with a new bumper design with matte black profile at the front and the matte black extractor at the rear. The front grille is sharper and more imposing, and it introduces new vertical chrome elements, which contrast with the depth of the shark-nose effect. Other distinguishing details of the 2017 Quattroporte are the matte black side skirts, wing mirrors, an electrically adjustable Air Shutter and the engine’s radiator.
Improvements to the interior have been introduced to create a cleaner look by highlighting only the functional parts. This takes place through the clean integration of the new interface elements with the infotainment area and central console.
Specifically, the redesigned central dashboard now accommodates a high-resolution 8.4-inch capacitive touchscreen with multi touch technology. This area is now characterized by a continuous technical element which incorporates the screen, new climate control system, and new compartment in a single seamless design, emphasizing the pure, elegant layout typical of the Quattroporte.
The lower part of the central console has also been redesigned and now features a rotary knob for volume and function control, a new lid and phone storage compartment. The stylistic approach to these functional elements permits a minimalist design approach for the center of the dashboard, along with an infotainment system.
Under the hood, the 2017 Quattroporte takes on a 3.0-liter powerplant for an output of 350 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 270 km/h. The Quattroporte S, with the 410 hp 3.0 liter Ferrari-produced V6 Twin-Turbo and rear wheel drive, offers 550 Nm of torque and a 286 km/h top speed, accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 5.1 seconds.
The top flight Quattroporte GTS, powered by the immense 530 hp 3.8 liter Ferrari-produced V8 Twin-Turbo with rear wheel drive, is capable of a peak torque of 710 Nm with a top speed of 310 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
All versions of the Quattroporte are fitted with state-of-the-art ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and electronically-controlled Skyhook shock absorbers; with an ideal 50:50 weight distribution and extensive use of aluminium in the chassis, body and suspension, performance and comfort are again unparalleled.
A new package of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is available as an option in the 2017 Quattroporte. It includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop&Go, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning with Advanced Brake Assist, and Automated Emergency Braking. An additional new Surround View Camera is available as an option in combination with the Driver Assistance package. Lastly, all Quattroportes are now equipped with an Air Quality Sensor, a feature that substantially improves passenger comfort levels.
The 2017 Maserati Quattroporte is available at starting price of RM 778,800.00, and Quattroporte S and Quattroporte GTS price is available upon request. All three variants are petrol-engined and the prices include a 3 years/60,000km service package, as well as local duties and taxes. Two optional trimmings are available for the Quattroporte range; GranLusso and GranSport. Either the GranLusso or GranSport trimming comes standard with the top flight Quattroporte GTS.
