New Interior Colour Brings A New Lease Of Life For The Honda HR-V RS

Following the update on the BR-V, Honda continues to update their model line-up. This time, the Honda HR-V RS is the next model that receive new interior colour for 2020, Since it debuted in January 2019, the HR-V RS receives a much anticipated dark brown leather interior. This new dark brown leather compliments the black leather and adds a little more plush to the cabin of the HR-V RS.

A Plush Interior

As depicted in the imagery, the Honda HR-V RS gets an instantaneous ‘luxurious’ touch with the addition of the new dark brown leather interior. The leather scheme is applied on the center console, front panel, driver and passenger seats (front and rear) as well as door panel lining. This interior scheme is exclusive to the Malaysian market only.

According to Honda Malaysia, the dark brown leather interior is implemented based on requirements by customers. Honda testified that they are committed to continuously improve their product offerings by listening to customers’’ feedbacks and market demand needs.

With the addition of the new dark brown leather interior color, the HR-V RS now exudes an enhanced elegance to go with its class-leading and functional features such as the

7-inch Display Audio, Paddle Shift and Honda LaneWatch.

The HR-V RS continues to utilize a 1.8l SOHC i-VTEC engine, combined with a CVT gearbox. It is also equipped with an exciting feature, the Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) steering system.

Honda HR-V by the numbers

Launched in 2015, there are more than 91,000 units of HR-V on Malaysian roads. The RS variant contributed 21% to the total facelifted HR-V sales of 19,000 units since January 2019. The Compact SUV model remains popular and upheld its No.1 position in the Non-National Compact SUV segment with 85% market share.

The standard safety features in the HR-V include 6 airbags, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Automatic Brake Hold (ABH), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and ISOFIX.

The HR-V RS is selling for RM 124,800, minus insurance, Buyers may choose dark brown leather or black leather for the interior to match the body’s three colors: Passion Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and White Orchid Pearl.
