New Jaguar F-Type comes roaring with Coupe and Convertible variants

The Jaguar F-Type has now been updated with fresh design and an interior that befits traditional and contemporary.

A glance at the F-Type, you’d notice Jaguar’s iconic interpretation of a Sports car. The headlights get super-slim pixel LED headlights with subtly updated signature ‘Calligraphy’ J daytime running lights, and sweeping direction indicators. The lights blend perfectly into the ‘liquid metal’ surfacing of the new clamshell bonnet, along with new front bumper and an enlarged grille.

The F-Type’s Coupe profile is an epitome of what a sports car is. Air intake on the fender gives the F-Type its athletic prowess. From the rear, the lights have become more slender and are combined with LED chicane signature, inspired by the Jaguar I-PACE all-electric Performance SUV. To finish off the details, there are wider, 20-inch, 10-spoke wheels, finished in Gloss Black and options for other variants.

A Sports car with a contemporary interior

When it comes to the cabin, Jaguar has added current technologies to the fold, for example the 12.3-inch touchscreen with emphasis on drivability, highlighted by the large central rev counter.  This feature and the gearshift light subtly convey the F-Type’s driver-focused character and performance potential. Enter the car and hit the start switch, the car roars to life with visual theater of flush, deployable door handles, air vents and exhaust flare.

On upholstery, the F-Type’s got traditional Jaguar craftsmanship with rich, contemporary materials such as Windsor Leather and satin-finish Noble Chrome. Beautiful details include monogram stitch patterns in the seats and door trims, Jaguar Leaper motifs in the headrests, and subtle ‘Jaguar Est.1935’ markings on the center console finisher, glovebox release button surround and seatbelt guides.

Jaguar F-Type engine options

The Jaguar F-Type has an engine range of 2.0-liter all the way up to a 5.0-liter V8, with output ranging from 300PS to 575PS. All engines are paired to Quickshift transmission for quick shifts, which enables 0 – 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a max speed of 177mph. The V8 F-Type does it in 3.6 secs and achieves a maximum speed of 186mph.

Have a feel for a more spirited drive? Then go for the F-Type R-Dynamic which has more power and a comprehensively uprated chassis. The chassis has new adaptive dampers, springs, anti-roll bars and stiffer rear knuckles and ball joints.

The Jaguar F-Type comes in standard, R-Dynamic, First Edition and R variants, each with a myriad of exterior and interior trimmings.
