With the Geneva Motor Show just around the corner, most major brands are prepping for the show with their main highlights from Concepts, world premieres to current models, as well as the technology showcase.
Mazda is banking on all cards with a new-generation Compact SUV that features the next generation body architecture, the New Mazda3, the new CX-5, making its European debut, and the MX-5 30th Anniversary.
On the technology showcase, the SKYACTIV along with Mazda’s proprietary KODO Design get the nod. For the SKYACTIV part, the powertrain lineup showcases the latest engines, including the company’s revolutionary SPCCI (Spark Plug Controlled Compression Ignition) technology, which has a unique combustion method combining the free-revving performance of a gasoline engine with the superior response of a diesel.
New Mazda3 set to make an impression
Slated to be introduced by the fourth quarter in Malaysia, according to Mazda Malaysia, the New Mazda3, in hatchback and sedan, is the first of the new-generation of Mazdas to exude that Jibba Ittai spirit, combined with a more mature interpretation of KODO design that embodies the essence of Japanese aesthetics.
Mazda MX-5 to continue blazing on its 30th year Anniversary
The Mazda MX-5 30th Anniversary Edition is set to take Geneva Motor Show crowd’s breath away. Available in limited units, Mazda’s iconic and best-selling Roadster offers the ultimate driving experience. Having debut at Chicago Auto Show earlier this month, the 30th Anni. Mazda MX-5 Special Edition continues the Roadster’s legacy with new elements on the exterior and interior. The car that world premiered in Chicago came in an exclusive Racing Orange shade, along with forged aluminum wheels bby Rays (exclusively for the MX-5) and a 30th Anniversary badge with model serial number. Mazda has confirmed that only 3,000 units are available worldwide,
Lastly, the New CX-5 needs no introduction, as it premieres for the European market. Mazda’s best-selling SUV now comes with enhanced quality, refined handling and i-Activsense safety systems.
