The 2015 MyVi range is offered with the usual 1.3-liter and 1.5-liter engines in four versions: the standard G, premium X, SE and Advance. Depending on versions, the 2015 MyVi is now spruced up with a new front bumper with foglights (premium X and above), plus projector headlights with DRLs (SE and Advance). At the side, there’s a chrome-finish moulding, chrome door handles (premium X and above) and the recognizable MyVi profile. From the rear, the SE and Advance MyVis receive reflectors on the bumper and a diffusor, along with LED lights and a new spoiler.
Dimensions-wise, both SE and Advance versions have a 10mm shorter wheelbase compared to the G and premium X versions (3,695 mm). Length, height, width and front and rear tracks are similar across the board.
Inside, all that you’d expect from MyVi are inherited from the previous version, albeit some fresh inputs here and there. There’s a new Multimedia system with reverse camera (only for the Advance version), leather-wrapped steering with switches, standard across the premium X to Advance version, and semi-bucket seats for the Advance MyVi only.
The 2015 Perodua MyVi still runs on either a 1.3-liter engine (G and premium X) or 1.5-liter (SE and Advance). Five-speed manual transmission is reserved for the G and SE Manual versions, whereas a four-speed automatic transmission is paired to the G AT, SE AT and Advance versions.
A new safety feature for the refreshed MyVi is the front corner sensor, available from the premium X version onwards. The front corner sensor is especially effective when it comes to parking in tight spots or during bumper-to-bumper situations in heavy traffic.
Perodua has proudly claimed that their top selling compact car gets an improved overall safety specifications, hence a 4-star ASEAN NCAP rating.
To date, the MyVi has generated a total sales volume of over 800,000 units and is obviously the top variant in Perodua’s line-up. On the 2015 MyVi, Perodua expects to deliver a volume of 6,000 units per month.
The 2015 MyVi has two new metallic colors Electric Blue (SE and Advance) and Cosmic Gold (G and premium X), along with the existing Ozzy Orange, Mystical Purple, Glittering Silver and Solid Ivory White hues.
Price for the updated MyVi has been reduced significantly, with the G manual version starting from RM 41,500 until Advance MyVi’s RM58,900 price tag in the Peninsular. All prices are on-the-road with insurance.
