New Peugeot 3008 SUV set for debut in September

Nasim (Peugeot Malaysia) will soon be introducing the all-new Peugeot 3008 SUV, the 2017 World Car of the Year. But prior to that, pre-bookings for the New 3008 are already available at Peugeot showrooms at RM142,888 and RM 155,888, inclusive of insurance.

The New Peugeot 3008 with its combination style, interior design and performance was chosen as the 2017 World Cat of the Year at the Geneva Motor Show. The new 3008 is the fifth Peugeot to win the Car of the Year prize and the first SUV to be honored with the accolade in the Lion marque’s history.

There are two fully-imported or CBU variants, to be launched in the country in September: the Active and Allure variants. Both variants are fitted with a 1.6THP engine, paired to a dependable 6-speed EAT6 automatic transmission.

The new 3008 SUV majors on technology with its state of the art Peugeot i-Cockpit interior layout, offering a more intuitive and engaging driving experience, with a compact multi-function steering wheel, 12.3-inch (HUD) head-up digital instrument display and 8.0-inch capacitive touchscreen which is accompanied by stylish satin chrome piano key toggles. Beneath the large touch screen, intuitive piano-key toggle switches give easy access to the main control functions.

The new-generation 3008 takes on a more robust character and dynamic stance, with a refined exterior and a host of current technologies and driver’s assistance systems. In looks, the front end is vertical with a powerful motif to give a feeling of strength. The wide chrome-trimmed grille sets the tone. In its center the Lion emblem, correctly in proportion, neither too shy nor ostentatious, takes pride of place. A piercing feline look comes from the narrow headlights. It becomes sharper still when they are take on the (optional) full LED lights. There are numerous wide open air intakes. Along with the flat bonnet and waist line, the C-SUV from Peugeot looks distinctively slimmer.

The elegant lines continue at the rear, where again we find a clear and very modern design. Beneath the inclined rear window, a gloss black band incorporates the opalescent LED tail lights. These feature the three essential claw-marks that make the Peugeot visual signature so clearly identifiable, at night as in daytime.

Last but not least, the new Peugeot 3008 SUV offers a number of driving aids and other safety equipment such as; AEBS (Automatic Emergency Braking System), adaptive driver and front passenger airbags (includes passenger airbag deactivation function), driver and front passenger side, front and rear curtain airbags, CDS – Dynamic Stability Control and ASR (Electronic Anti-skid System), driver attention alert system, ISOFIX, programmable cruise control and speed limiter and speed limit recognition.

Details of the new Peugeot 3008 SUV will be available soon after its official unveiling…
