Renault Captur gets 2019 updates

Renault Malaysia (TC Euro Cars) has announced the updated Captur Crossover for the domestic market. The 2019 Renault Captur now comes with a new Euro 6 compliant engine, a stop-start engine function and a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A special-edition Captur+ has also been introduced, with design enhancements and loads of added accessories.  The Renault Captur is retailing for RM107,980 and the Captur+ is RM113,300. Now, when you buy either Captur you’ll get a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to Paris for 2!

The updated Captur  has a somewhat new turbocharged TCe 120 engine, paired to an existing six-speed dual clutch transmission. It gives an uprated max torque of 205 Nm from as low as 2,000 rpm, compared to the previous edition. Fuel efficiency is just 5.9L/100km (NEDC) and if that’s not enough, a start-stop function is added to improve efficiency.

Inside, the 2019 Captur is adorned with a new 7-inch infotainment system with all kinds of connectivity (internet, smart devices etc) and navigation.

Even more aesthetically pleasing the Renault Captur+

Take a look at the special edition Captur+, which has a silver/black two-tone front and rear bumper, hands-free tailgate and a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) as standard. Interior-wise, the Captur+ comes with maroon combination leather seats with finishing, an armrest with stitch details, side-sill plates emblazoned with “Captur” and a trunk entry guard.

Both the Captur and Captur+ do share plenty of similarities such as; boot space from 377 liters to a maximum of 1,235 liters, 7-inch touchscreen, keyless entry, engine start, walkaway door lock function, bi-tone body color, LED fog lights, an Eco mode, a multi-position boot floor and ample small storage compartments.

When it comes to safety and assistance systems, the Capturs are loaded with four airbags, ESC, Hill Start Assist (HSA) and ABS with Electronic Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), to name a few.

The Capturs and all Renaults come with  five-year warranty and free service, as well as free 24 hours roadside assistance, pick-up/delivery services and even a replacement or courtesy car (subject to availability).
