Suzuki Malaysia reveals New S-Cross

 Suzuki S-Cross Previously previewed at the COTY (Car of the Year) exhibition at MATRADE, the new Suzuki S-Cross has officially landed at dealerships nationwide. The Suzuki S-Cross shares a rather similar platform to the existing SX4 variant, but with a lot more substance, style, unique form factor and functionality.

Packed as a lifestyle vehicle, the S-Cross blends in as a Sedan and a mini SUV or a more familiar term, the Crossover. At a glance, the S-Cross resembles much of the SX4 albeit some contemporary elements, especially on the front fascia. The Crossover takes up a forward-designed motif, and the main highlight being the world’s first double-sliding panoramic sunroof. Other exterior highlights include roof rails, wing mirrors, HID headlights with DRLs. The S-Cross’ package is completed by dynamic twin five-spoke 17-inch wheels.

Suzuki S-Cross is a Crossover that offers plenty of amenities

On the inside, the S-Cross has fabric with silver stitches for the upholstery. The cabin is roomy and offers generous legroom at the rear, as well as provides occupants adequate headroom. Keyless push-start, auto wipers and lights and adjustable rear seatback are standard equipment.

In addition, the center console in black and silver ornamentation presents dual-zone air-conditioning and 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and rear view camera. Over to the driver’s side, the adjustable steering has switches for the audio unit and shifters for quick up- and down-shift. The instrument cluster illuminated in white with double Blue rings give the driver information on the car’s status. At the rear, the boot space of 430 liters can be expanded up to 1,269 liters with the rear seats folded down. Lastly, there are ample compartments for small items all-round the S-Cross.

The S-Cross is powered by a 1.6-liter engine that churns 117 hp and 156 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The powerplant is paired to a CVT gearbox for a rather seamless gear shifting. Consumption figure is 17.2/liter, under the NEDC cycle.

Moving to safety features, the S-Cross packs plenty of core features such as; the ESP, Hill-hold Control, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, immobilizer, security alarm, Parking sensors and 7 airbags.

The new Suzuki S-Cross is available in four colors: Crystal Lime Metallic, Amethyst Gray Pearl Metallic, Cool White Pearl and Boost Blue Pearl Metallic. At RM 129,888, the S-Cross comes with a 5-year warranty, along with Suzuki’s 24-hour Assist.
