The New Honda City RS i-MMD Will Come With Honda Sensing

As the launch of the 5th generation is creeping ever closer, Honda Malaysia recently announce the new City will be offered with Honda Sensing. With the addition of Honda Sensing, this will make the new City the most complete advanced safety features in the B-segment.

The Honda Sensing will feature Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Auto High-Beam (AHB).

To give an idea about the size of the new City, the body dimension measured in at 4,553 mm in length, 1,748 mm in width and 1,467 mm in height. Compared to its predecessor, the new City is now longer by 111 mm, wider by 54 mm and lowered by 10 mm, providing a low and wide stable stance.

On the exterior, the new City will receive a modern and sporty exterior design. It will feature a new LED headlights (RS & V) with LED daytime running lights as well as a new LED taillights, carbon patterned front lip, new rear bumper with diffuser, gloss black ducktail spoiler, gloss black door mirror, and the 16” alloy wheel to complete the exterior look.

The biggest talking point for the new City is the intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) hybrid powertrain. This powertrain will deliver a maximum torque of 253Nm. As for other variant, a new 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine will provide a balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

One more feature that the new City will get is the remote engine start function. This function will allow owners to cool their cabin down in Malaysia’s hot weather after parking long hours under the hot sun.
