The Next Generation of Electric Vehicle from BMW: BMW Concept IV

During the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW showcased the BMW Concept IV with its familiar characteristics, highlighted by the air intakes and sculpted surfaces. The Concept IV EV resembles the 4 Series’ signature look in many ways.

BMW stresses a lot about the Concept IV’s front vertical ‘kidney’ grille. A closer look reveals an array of small “number 4s” joined together. Further highlights at the front entail slim LED twin headlights, without a cover, in 3-D sculptures, contoured bonnet and bold surfaces.

From the side, the Concept IV has a stretched bonnet, long wheelbase, flowing roofline and short overhangs. Within the silhouette, the ultra-pure surfaces of the new BMW Concept IV form a powerful main body. The body paint is Forbidden Red which offers a dramatic sense of radiance and depth. Everything athletic to sporty aesthetic is clearly conveyed with the Concept IV.

Large rear wheel arches give an impression that the car sits low on the ground. The character line transitions from the flanks into the rear end in a broad, horizontal sweep and visually reduces the coupe’s height off the ground even further. Other highlighted elements include an indented glasshouse, tailgate graphics, LEDs with fiber-optic element, vertical air outlets frame at the lower section of the rear, and the diffuser with apron. The rear goes with the car’s body color and is paired to a pair of exhausts and and 21-inch wheels with a five-spoke design.
