We recently saw the arrival of the Maserati Levante Trofeo edition in Malaysia. On the 10th August 2020, Maserati added the Quattroporte and Ghibli into the Trofeo Club. Maserati named these trio as the Trofeo collection, where there will be specific color scheme and decorative trims to differentiate one to the other.
In honor of the Italian flag, the Trofeo Quartroporte comes with a green color scheme.
White is reserved for Levante and red for the Ghibli. All three models are mixed and matched with the burnished chrome-work and glossy red trims.
What’s the Trofeo Collection all about?
The Trofeo collection highlights Maserati’s design signatures to the next level. These include the front grille with twin vertical bars in Black Piano finish and carbon fiber elements on the front air duct trims and rear extractor. Collectively, the collection is distinguished by the red details that characterize the bottom profiles of the side air vents and the lightning bolt on the Trident badge on the C-pillars.
From the rear, there’s restyled light clusters with boomerang effect. Other restyled items are the bonnet with two air ducts. Completing the package is 21-inch Orione wheels on the Ghibli and Quartroporte and. 22-inch Orione wheels on the Levante.
Inside, the collection has a new on-board panel that displays an exclusive interface at switch-on, while the headrests bear the Trofeo badge. The upholstery is in full-grain Pieno Fiore natural leather. Some of the finer details inside are the updated and larger 10.1-in touchscreen (Ghibli and Quartorporte) and 8.4-in (Levane, remains the same as before), paired to the MIA (Maserati Intelligent Assistant) and Maserati Connect.
Where’s Power comes with great responsibility
With every Maserati, you can expect lots of power output, especially with V8s The heart of Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo is the 3.8l V8 Twin Turbo with power output of 580 hp at 6,250 rpm and peak torque of 730 Nm. With this much output, the two Maserati sedans have a top speed of 326 km/h. In some international markets, output can be raised up to 590 hp. The Levane Trofeo with its V8 engine pumps 580 hp but does a tad lower top speed at 302 km/h, however it has the Integrated Vehicle Control (IVC) system, with a specific setup that guarantees enhanced driving dynamics, greater active safety and even more thrilling performance. The sedans have the Corsa button that sets the car for an even sportier driving style. Also included is Launch Control, a function that first appeared on Levante Trofeo, to unleash all the engine’s power and deliver surging performance.
Last but not least, the Trofeo collection comes with an evolved ADAS system, to include new functions and Active Driving Assist.
