Updated Mazda6 on tour at Local mall

The Mazda flagship sedan Mazda6 with minor enhancements is currently on tour at the Bangsar Shopping Center in the capital city. From 11 – 15 September, potential buyers are advised to drop in on the Mazda roadtour to view the Mazda6 and a myriad new models like the Mazda3 and CX-5. From the get-go, Mazda flagship sedan is a CBU (Completely Build-up) model from Japan. Hence, the somewhat premium price structure with a starting price of RM  173,659. There are three variants of the Mazda6 available for the domestic market: the base 2.0l, 2,5l and 2.2l D. The more popular Mazda6 2.5l comes in two choices, a sedan and a touring version.

At its late product life cycle, Mazda6 has gotten some enhancements to include prevalent new Mazda technologies, including a GVC Plus (G-Vector Control) and Mazda Connect upgrade.  

The Mazda 2.5l and 2.2l variants receive the Mazda Connect with Android Auto and Carplay as standard. For those who are familiar, by using a cable and plug it to the Mazda Connect infotainment system, you’d be able to pair your smartphone contents to the touchscreen.  

All Mazda6 takes up the SkyActiv-D 6-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. Engine options are the 2.0l petrol, 2,2l diesel and 2.5l petrol.

The GVC Plus is a standard equipment on the 2019 Mazda6. As an upgrade of original GVC, the GVC Plus  uses the brakes to add direct yaw moment control for further enhanced handling stability. GVC is the first technology in the SkyActiv-Vehicle Dynamics series.

The Mazda6 2.0l has a listed price of RM 173,659, the Mazda6 2.5l sedan retails for RM 211,148 and the Mazda6 Touring is at RM 215,148. The Mazda6 2.2l Diesel tops off at RM 219,851. All prices do not include insurance. All Mazdas include a 5-year warranty + 5 years free service, since January 2019.
