Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line gets upgraded equipment

The Tiguan compact off-roader is Volkswagen’s fifth best-selling variant, and offers good value for money. Volkswagen intends to appease buyers, especially 4X4 enthusiasts, with the new equipment in the Tiguan R-Line. The off-roader is a definite choice when it comes to a raft of comfort, convenience and safety features.

Exterior-wise, the Tiguan R-Line receives 18-inch wheels, sports suspension, bi-xenon headlights, an R-Line styling pack with unique bumpers, side skirts and badging.

Moving on to the interior, the bespoke features include sport seats with R-Line logo, black roof lining and upholstery upgrade. These features come on top of the Match specification which now takes on the RNS 315 color touchscreen satellite navigation system and as well as Bluetooth, MDI media interface with leads for iPhone and USB, CD/DVD player, SD card provision, DAB digital radio and Park Assist. A multifunction steering wheel, trimmed in leather, just like the gear lever, is also standard, along with standard 2-zone climate control and folding picnic tables on the back of the front seats.

For added convenience, on all Tiguans the rear seats split 60:40 and are able to be moved lengthways, to increase luggage space or legroom as required by up to 16 cm, while the backrest angle is adjustable up to 23 degrees. The rear seats are foldable to increase boot space from 470 to 1,510 liters, while the front passenger’s foldable backrest offers additional load space of up to 2.5 meters long. For other items, the TIguan R-Line’s under-seat drawers, boot floor and space-saver spare wheel give plenty more storage.

The Tiguan R-Line is available with a choice of diesel and petrol engines that are paired to DSG gearboxes. The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line has an enhanced value of nearly £1,500, with prices starting at 28,490 pounds.
